“I Have A Dream Commemoration” Tribute to MLK

Celebrate the civil rights legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Sevier County on Monday, January 16, 2017 in downtown Sevierville beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Join Bishop Zack Flack with Boyds Creek Church of God at 10:00 a.m. in the parking lot of First Baptist Church in Sevierville for a Gathering Prayer. Fellowship refreshments donated by Courthouse Donuts, Food City, and Starbucks.

A March to the Sevier County Courthouse will begin at 10:30 a.m. and return to First Baptist Church sanctuary for the opening assembly to begin at 11:00 a.m. City and state dignitaries will deliver welcome remarks with the key note address by Rev.Vincent Dial-Pastor of Bethel Christian Church in Jonesborough, TN.

Area high schools will offer a musical salute and dramatic reading along with the presentation of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Award.
