Easter Sunrise Service. An annual tradition for 18 years, the Easter Sunrise Service held at Ober Gatlinburg is a special holiday worship service April 5 held by local pastors of the Gatlinburg Ministerial Association. To view the sunrise from high atop Mt. Harrison at Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort is awe-inspiring. The offering collected during the 30-40 minute service will be used by the GMA in assisting the county’s needy.

Ober Gatlinburg will provide complimentary tram rides to the top of the mountain beginning at 5:45 a.m. and continuing at 15 minute intervals until the service begins at 6:30 a.m. Free parking at the resort will be provided for those who prefer to drive up the mountain. A breakfast buffet will be available at the Ober Gatlinburg Restaurant from 7:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
