Music in the Round is an evening of great music, storytelling, friends and food to benefit the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center in Townsend, TN. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday July 15, 2016 at the Barn Event Center.

Featured songwriters include Becky Hobbs, Benita Hill, and Kacey Jones as “A Cowgirl, A Diva and A Shameless Hussy.”

Becky Hobbs is a direct descendant of Nancy Ward, the famous Cherokee Indian, and she has written songs for George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, and supergroup Alabama. Benita Hill has worked as a background singer for the likes of Waylon Jennings and Charlie Daniels as well as written for Garth Brooks. Kacey Jones, who’s been featured on Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion” on National Public Radion, has written songs for David Allen Coe, Mickey Gilley, and others.
