It’s time for the Spring Festival & Old Timers’ Day on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Townsend Visitor Center. From 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day you’ll love this celebration of springtime in the beautiful Smoky Mountains!
Bring your lawn chairs because you’ll hear some of the best bluegrass music around. And be sure to bring your appetite too for some finger-lickin’ BBQ! There will be clogging, quilting, woodcarving, rug hooking, and more Arts & Crafts demonstrations. It’s good old fashioned fun for the whole family with homemade cakes and homegrown flowers and plants for sale…truly something for everyone who has Spring Fever (no pets allowed).
Admission to the Festival is free. Parking is $8 and benefits the local fire department.
The Townsend Heritage & Old Timer’s Days festival occurs every spring and fall at the Townsend Visitors Center. It’s a celebration of the traditional bluegrass and mountain music, crafts, and heritage of Townsend, East Tennessee, and the Great Smoky Mountains.
