Head over to the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center in Townsend at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays this Spring to enjoy an informative social gathering where a variety of topics will be discussed in an informal setting. Topics may include Smoky Mountain folklore, history, nature, music and more! Programs will end at 3:30 p.m.

These weekly afternoon “coffee talks” are free to members of the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center. Non-member admission prices are $7 for adults (18-59), $5 for Senior (60+) and Children (6-17), free for children under 6 years of age.

March 29 -Outdoor Rescue in the Great Smoky Mountains by Blount County Rescue Squad
April 5 -What to Do in Case of an Active Shooter by the Blount County Sheriff’s Department
April 12 – Staycations in Blount County/Playing in Your Own Backyard by Blount County Partnerships
April 19 – Ft. Loudon: A Living History by Tennessee State Parks
April 26 – Medicine Woman by Dr. Gail Palmer
May 3 – Women of the Smokies
May 10 – Black Bears in Tennessee by Dr. Dave Unger with Maryville College
May 17 – Topic is to be announced
May 24 – The Native Americans of East Tennessee by Randy McGinnis
