The Corvette Dragon Cruise is always a fan favorite and this year it includes the latest addition to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a ride on the newly completed middle section of the Foothills Parkway. The parkway connects beautiful Wears Valley to Walland Tennessee and is one of the most scenic drives in the state! The cruise length is 56.3 miles and the start time is 4:30 p.m March 15, 2019. The cruise is expected to last approximately one and a half hours.
The Foothills Parkway missing link has been a visitor favorite since it opened in November of 2018. Long known as the “missing link” this sixteen mile drive will leave you breathless! After fifty years of battling political, financial, and natural obstacles the result must be experienced to be believed. Several hundred Corvettes are expected to participate in the cruise to the famous “Tail of the Dragon.” If you love curves you will love The Dragon. The cruise will have a police escort through Pigeon Forge before climbing into the mountains and then the ‘Vettes will be on the loose!
Corvette Expo is also proud to announce the Featured Corvette Club for the 2019 event. Plastic Cars LTD. Corvettes of Statesville holds this years honor. Based in Statesville, North Carolina, the club was organized in the late 1960’s by a small group of Corvette enthusiasts. The interest in this group continued to grow until the group joined the NCCC in 1973 and continues to expand today!
Come on down to the expo and join the fun! Bring what you run and run what you brung!
