Smoky Mountain Winter Experience event will be fun for the entire family!
Smoky Mountain Winter Experience event is scheduled for January 27 -29, 2020 at the Ramsey Hotel in Pigeon Forge. This inaugural event will offer professionally guided hikes and educational sessions covering the culture and natural beauty of Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the surrounding area. The mission of the event is to connect nature lovers with the Smoky Mountains through the experience of learning with experts via practical field experience and indoor lectures and demonstrations.
“Our family is so excited about this new event!” Myra Blevins said, “We love hiking and learning about the Smokies and plan to drive down from Chicago to attend.”
Participants can look forward to following in the footsteps of those who have gone before them and learning from their experience. Presenters will cover topics ranging from “The Do’s and Dont’s of wildlife photography” to “True Cades Cove tales.” Amateur and professional photographers will find the schedule compelling with the many lecture choices for photo buffs.
Appalachian music lovers will want to be sure and catch all the live music. The Appalachian folk music concert is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Instrumentalists will love the dulcimer concert too! There will be a “learn to play session” offering the opportunity to try your hand at making your own mountain music.
The HeySmokies expeditionary team is excited about the guided hike and excursion line up. The schedule offers something for every skill and fitness level. Some our favorite hikes that will be included are a hike to the historic Mt. Cammerer fire lookout, forest walk to the largest trees in the Smokies in Albright Grove, and a stroll up beautiful Porters Creek.
This event is sure to have something for everyone so make plans to attend and support the folks who truly care about the Smoky Mountains culture and natural beauty. Ramsey Hotel is located in Pigeon Forge at 3230 Parkway.
