Smoky Mountain Campfire Ban Expires

Smoky Mountain Campfire Ban Expires beginning Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Precipitation, cooler temperatures and shorter days allow for campfires to resume, fire danger is still extremely high across the park while the area continues to experience drought.

Campfires are allowed ONLY in designated areas in both front country and back country campsites. Keep campfires small to decrease the chance embers will spread. Always attend and fully extinguish campfires. An extinguished campfire is only out when it is cool to the touch.
